Julien Clausse serves as the Head of AssetFoundry at BNP Paribas CIB, the department working on Digital Assets & Tokenization across CIB’s businesses, and beyond. For the last 25+ years, as a Venture Builder, he has created and launched new products in several industries – from automotive, to TravelTech, to Internet of Things and now in Finance when he joined BNP Paribas CIB in 2018.

Julien oversees AssetFoundry's commitment to financial instrument tokenization, aiming to assist both issuers and investors by integrating issuances with key asset data, such as ESG metrics, as well as reaping the benefits of this new business architecture based on blockchain rails. AssetFoundry department also works on blockchain networks’ connectivity and safekeeping of private keys in a constantly evolving market.

Guided by Julien's direction, the AssetFoundry team closely work with all business lines, as well as departments like legal, IT, and compliance, towards a seamless originate-to-distribute-to-custody platform, holistically including operations, technology, legal framework and regulations. Beyond BNP Paribas CIB, Julien also had roles in teaching and innovation. His background and current roles underscore his expertise in blockchain, platforms, and the broader digital assets sector.
